Set within 20 exceptionally pretty and tranquil acres, these two very comfortable singe storey cottages enjoy a splendid ‘get away from it all’ holiday location yet lie within 12 miles of wide sandy beaches, nature reserves, seal sanctuaries and roller coaster rides. The grounds, shared with the owners, boast woodlands abundant with wildlife, a lake and meadows affording panoramic views over the wolds to the coast. To the north is the charming town of Horncastle and its vintage shops (6 miles), whilst Gunby Hall and Tattershall Castle (N.T.) are both nearby as are the ruins of Bolingbroke Castle and the Battle of Britain Memorial Museum. Woodhall Spa offers a superb golf course, Kinema in the Woods and an outdoor spa swimming pool. Two pubs serving food are within 0.5 miles and shops in Spilsby 1.5 miles.

Reviews
Badger Cottage is set in very pretty surroundings and the location is on the edge of a lovely village, and is quiet and remote. Hundleby itself is picturesque and tranquil, but only a 10 minute walk from Spilsby which has some charming shops, four pubs and selection of restaurants to suit all tastes. The Charm Spice serves excellent Indian food. The pub in Hundleby serves very nice home cooked food, has very nice beer and the owners to could not have been more welcoming and friendly - I highly recommend the whale and chips! I recommend anyone to this area and the cottage.

The cottage was exceedingly well furnished, immaculately clean, and the owners had catered for our every need. Outstanding, friendly and highly recommended.

Whichever of our Lincolnshire cottage holidays you choose, you can be sure of a very pleasant surprise when you arrive in this peaceful, almost timeless place. It may be one of the largest of Britain’s counties, but it remains one of the least well-known. Here you’ll find wide-open spaces, far horizons and room to breathe, not to mention some excellent locally-sourced food.
Perhaps most striking are the Lincolnshire Wolds, where most of our Lincolnshire holiday cottages are located. Unlike the rest of the county, this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts rolling hills, deep valleys and is ideal touring country. In complete contrast, there’s Lincolnshire’s Fun Coast, miles of sandy beaches stretching from Skegness to Mablethorpe which attracts families in search of its many seaside attractions and shows.
Not be missed is historic Lincoln, complete with its famous cathedral and medieval buildings as well as a Norman Castle where you can see one the few original copies of Magna Carta. To the south lies Stamford, a perfectly preserved Georgian Town, which featured in the TV adaptation of Middlemarch. Make sure you pay a visit to nearby Burghley House, one of our grandest Elizabethan houses.
